Opal: Food+Body Wisdom is looking for a Mental Health Counselor/Mental Health Therapist/Social Worker/Psychologist/Psychotherapist/Sports Therapist/Experiential Therapist to offer therapeutic services to our clients.


Opal is a locally, clinician, female owned, eating disorder treatment facility in the University District of Seattle, Washington, offering Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient and traditional outpatient services. Job Title: Primary Therapist


Responsibilities: 

  • Provide individual and group therapy for our Partial Hospitalization Program and Intensive Outpatient Program clients, with a preference given to candidates interested in family therapy and/or participation in our Exercise + Sport programming
  • Facilitate specific groups based on skills, training and interest
  • Collaboration with other members of a multi-disciplinary treatment team
  • Maintain clinical documentation and other administrative tasks required for competent care
  • May include being a part of a multi-disciplinary Exercise + Sport team which may include job responsibilities of co-leading Re-Thinking Exercise + Sport Process group, co-leading Movement group, doing community talks, and being trained to offer exercise experiential therapy for Opal clients.


Educational/Credential Requirements: 

  • Minimum requirement is associate level therapist licensure in the state of Washington: LMHCA, LMFTA, LSWAIC
  • Priority will be given to applicants with full licensure in the state of Washington: LMHC, LMFT, LICSW, LASW or a Licensed Psychologist
  • Experience working with eating disorders strongly desired
  • Interest in ACT and RO-DBT preferred
  • Current credentialing with insurance panels is highly desired

Hours: 

Monday-Friday, 32-40 hours/week


Compensation:

Covid:  All Opal staff are required to be fully vaccinated with either a two-shot series of an mRNA vaccine or the one-shot J&J vaccine along with a booster (by Jan 31, 2022) of an mRNA vaccine if it has been the recommended length of time from your last vaccination.
